Dear 1B,
Here are the long-awaited details on enterprise day.
Objectives:
- Helping to raise funds for Simei Care Centre
- Encourage all of you to be innovative and enterprising
1) You will all be given 3 CIP hours for being involved in this project.
2) There will be food and game stalls around the school
3) Canteen won't be open that day, so there will be enough food
4) Each class has to prepare 60 servings selling at not more than $2.00 per serving.
5) The class has to bear the full cost of the food.
6) NO DRINKS. Reason: Free milo will be distributed that day.
7) Best selling stall: $50 (each level has one winner)
8) Best decorated stall: $50 (each level has one winner)
It will be a coupon system. Every one will need to buy $3 worth of coupons ($2 for food and $1 for games.)
Here is my suggestion on how to proceed:
We divide the class into the following teams:
Food team:
- Prepare the food before hand
- Buy the food
- Prepare the food to be sold at the stall
Packaging team:
- Design a package for the food
- Help the food team pack the food for selling at the stall
Publicity team:
- Design flyers to distribute on Enterprise Day itself
- Distribute the flyers
- "Kindly encourage" students of other classes to buy our food! (by whatever means you all think are "appropriate")
Finance team:
- Collect money beforehand so that we can buy the food
- Assist in the collection of coupons at the stall
Logistics team:
- Help with setting up the store
- Carry necessary equipment (power cable, toaster over etc)
Stall decoration team:
- Quite obvious
We will need more help in the stall decor team as well as the publicity team.
Furthermore, I suggest that everyone contributes a small amount to the class fund to help the food team with their purchases. I will contribute as well.
